A while back we started thinking about the new music scene in Melbourne, Australia, home to a varied new crop of bands (including amongst others Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard), and it set us off looking at the shops that must have been acting as essential sonic inspirations.
Our Melburnian interests were really piqued earlier this year with the self-titled debut album from thrashing punks Amyl and the Sniffers, arrestingly new whilst clearly soaked in an entire generation of angst-driven musical influences.
